The Office Centre website is committed to following fair business practices. We will always be helpful and courteous to you, and will make every attempt to ensure you are completely satisfied. If you have a question, or complaint, please email us at sales@officecentre.co.nz. To this end we assure customers that the operation of this website observes the recommendations contained in the New Zealand Model Code for Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (2000) published by the New Zealand Ministry of Consumer Affairs. We are also bound by the obligations set out by the Fair Trading Act 1986 and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
General Conditions
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. In placing an order you are making an offer to purchase subject to these terms and conditions. Once we have dispatched an order confirmation by email to you, we will deem this a binding contract. Each order will be a separate contract. If we fail to enforce one or more of these terms and conditions, we do not waive our right to enforce any of those remaining. The laws of New Zealand shall govern any contract between us. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively within the courts of New Zealand.
Shipping
We will generally ship orders placed before 3pm, or after that during normal business hours on the next working day. You should allow 2-3 days for large items (e.g. furniture & machines). It is not usually possible for us to arrange delivery on a weekend or statutory holiday. Where normal delivery is likely to be delayed by more than five days we will e-mail or call you to advise and arrange a convenient delivery date. You should ensure someone is available to sign for your order.
Stock Issues
If you do not receive the type or quantity of goods ordered due to an error or omission on our part, we will arrange for the correct order to be delivered to you, usually within 3 business days, as stocks permit. You must notify us within 7 working days of receipt if an order is incorrect or incomplete. You must also ensure that any goods supplied in error or in excess of your order are returned in as-new resaleable condition in their original unmarked packaging. We reserve the right to charge you for any goods delivered in error, where you have not followed these conditions. Goods are sold subject to availability. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will not charge you for these goods and we will refund any money already paid for the goods. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses which you may suffer if we do not supply goods. If goods are not in stock we will inform you that they have been placed on backorder, and either agree a new delivery date or at your discretion remove the items(s) from your order. In addition, you will have the right to cancel any backorder that has not yet been supplied, up until 5pm on the day prior to expected delivery. We will refund any payment that has already been made for those goods and any delivery charges applicable, on the day of cancellation. There will usually be no additional charge for delivery of backorders.
Returns, Refunds & Replacements
You should inspect the goods when they arrive to ensure they are correct in type and quantity, and have arrived in good condition. You may contact us at sales@officecentre.co.nz to inform us of any goods that are faulty, damaged or not required.
Goods are not required
You may cancel your order within 7 working days after the day you receive the goods, without giving a reason. You must inform us of your wishes by letter, fax or email, within this period. We will either arrange for the goods to be collected or request that you return them. If we arrange collection we reserve the right to charge you for the carriage. If we agree for you to return the goods, they must be returned to us within a further 7 days. The goods should be returned in resaleable condition, in their original packaging.
Returns can only be accepted on perishable items if you have received the goods in faulty condition, and on sealed items (for example, computer printer ink cartridges), if they have not been unsealed.
Goods have been damaged in transit
You must inform us within 7 working days of receipt if you wish to claim a refund or replacement. If you choose to be refunded and a delivery charge was made for your order, this will also be refunded. If goods returned are not found to be damaged, the terms for 'Goods are not required' (as outlined above) will apply.
Faulty Goods
We guarantee your satisfaction. All of our products come with a 7-day no quibble guarantee. In the unlikely event you receive faulty goods please advise us within 48 hours. Any damaged items must be returned. If an invoice is received with the item send a copy of the invoice. If you are unable to provide a copy of the invoice or packing slip, include a note containing your name, address, order #, contact phone number, and reason for return. Wherever possible, faulty items will be replaced. In the event that replacement or repair is not possible a full refund for the item will be given. In the case of refunds for damaged items, credit will be made to your credit card account.
Product Guarantees
Where a manufacturer supplies a guarantee specific to the product you have purchased, you must complete the product registration and contact the manufacturer directly in the event of product failure. In most other cases we will replace goods that are faulty due to defects in materials or workmanship within 1 year of delivery, however replacement will be entirely at our discretion. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Prices and Payment
The price you will pay for the goods is that which prevails at the time you place your order. We reserve the right to change prices without prior notice, to reflect alterations in our suppliers’ prices and/or changes in taxes and duties. If prices on the web site are not correct due to any errors or omissions on our part, we will inform you of the correct price and you will have the right to amend or cancel your order.
Prices shown are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at 12.5% unless otherwise stated. Orders from overseas are exempt this tax.
Electronic Payment
Electronic payments through this site are highly secure. Your credit card details are encrypted, so they cannot be read even in the unlikely event of the purchase details being intercepted. Credit card details are not divulged to the Office Centre personnel or owners, and are only seen by the payment processing network.
Ownership
You will become the owner of goods only once we have received payment in full for the goods and any delivery charges associated with the order. We reserve the right of tracing, where goods have not been paid for in full. You will become responsible for the goods as soon as we have delivered them to you. If you delay the delivery of goods to you, our responsibility for them ends at the time of the first attempted delivery.
Currencies
Conversion rates are taken daily from the US stock exchange. These rates are intended as an indication of conversion rate only, and may be billed at the rate current at the time of transaction.
Customs
For international transactions you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from our store, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
Privacy
We want to make your shopping experience as safe, satisfying, convenient and pleasurable as possible. We take your privacy very seriously. The information which we receive from you is used to process orders and to provide you with a more personalised shopping experience. This means that your information will not be sold or otherwise divulged to third parties without your prior consent. You have certain rights to access information about yourself and if necessary to ask for it to be corrected.

Our web site may contain inaccuracies or typographical errors and we will not accept any liability for the accuracy of the information it contains. If you buy goods that are unsuitable, based on incorrect specifications published on our website, we will accept their return and give a full refund of the price and any delivery charges you have paid for the goods.
